One of the East of England’s leading accountancy firms Moore Thompson is preparing to hold a charity horse racing night in aid of local charity Anna’s Hope.
Organised by the firm’s own in-house charity the Moore Thompson Charity Fund CIO, the event will see guests enjoy a night at the races all from the comfort of the South Holland Centre in Market Place, Spalding.
All proceeds from the fun-filled event, which is due to take place on 8 June 2017, will go towards Anna’s Hope, which is the leading children’s brain tumour charity in the East of England.
Inspired by Anna Olivia Hughes, who tragically died from a brain tumour aged only three years and eight months, the charity was set up 10 years ago by Anna’s parents Rob and Carole Hughes and her five Godparents and has raised thousands of pounds since.
Anna’s Mum, Carole, will be joining Moore Thompson at the race night to explain how the money raised from our event will make a difference to youngsters and their families.
Mark Hildred, Moore Thompson’s Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Anna’s Hope at this fantastic night at the races in Spalding and are truly honoured that Carole has decided to join us.
“We are certain that this event won’t fall at the first fence and we look forward to seeing plenty of local businesses joining us during the evening so that we can raise as much as possible for this wonderful cause.”
Last year the Moore Thompson Charity Fund CIO raised nearly £3,000 for charity helping two local causes, LIVES and Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
This year it hopes to raise even more for a number of organisations and charities, with a host of planned events over the next weeks and months.
